T&C
A. Scheduling/ Cancellations:
-
Once a recurring appointment has been set, try and meet at that time unless one of the parties alerts the other about a need to cancel.
-
We understand cancellations can happen occasionally, but in general, you are agreeing to attend every scheduled session. Consistency would be very important to see any progress.
-
Any cancellation made within 24 hours of the session will be chargeable with 100% of the session fee. Thus it is advised to notify the therapist of the cancellation outside of the 24-hour mark.
-
If you chose to end/ terminate the therapy, try and give the therapist a little heads up as two sessions would be required in order to properly terminate the therapy process.
B. Communication:
-
If you experience a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call the emergency helpline number or go to your nearest emergency room. Please reach out to your therapist and update them once you feel like you are safe.
-
Emails, text messaging and instant messaging like WhatsApp are only used for administrative purposes. All clinical issues need only to be discussed in session or by phone if necessary.
-
To protect the privacy of you and your therapist, we do not accept social media friend or contact requests from current or former clients.
C. Confidentiality
-
All sessions between the client and the psychologist are confidential. It is important that you know that your privacy and right to it is protected. The psychologist cannot discuss you or your case to any third parties without your consent.
-
There are however some limitations to this, which are listed as follows:
-
Psychologists regularly present their work in supervision groups. The aim of these sessions is to improve the clinical work taken on. All supervision work is confidential and only uses the client’s initials.
-
If you are under the age of 18, we have to inform the parent about the general content of the session if asked for it. We work with young individuals to decide what information they would be comfortable sharing.
-
In case the therapist views the client or another person’s safety as being jeopardized they may have to contact external services without the client’s permission.
